What's New in Java Pet Store Demo 1.3.1

Here are the changes that we have made to the Java Pet Store Demo application since its 1.3_01 release :

  • Demonstration of document-oriented Web-services
  • Demonstration of method-oriented Web-services
  • Demonstration of effective techniques in handling XML documents
  • Use of the Java Standard Tag Library (JSTL) in the web tier
  • Demonstration of several J2EE design patterns
  • Implementation of Work Flow Manager to process incoming Purchase Orders as per well defined workflow
  • Some bug fixes and minor cleanup from previous release
