Early Access Index
The J2EE Tutorial for the Sun ONE Platform
is a beginner's guide
to developing enterprise applications
with Sun ONE Studio 4 and
to deploying them on the Sun ONE Application Server 7.
These Sun ONE products are based on the J2EE 1.3
platform.
The tutorial
teaches the concepts of J2EE technologies through an extensive set of
examples and provides basic instructions
on how to use the Sun ONE software
to develop, configure, build, deploy, and run the examples.
This early access version of the tutorial covers the
following technologies:
-
Web Components:
-
Servlets
-
JavaServer PagesTM (JSPTM)
-
JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library (JSTL)
-
Web Services:
-
Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC)
-
Java API for Messaging (JAXM)
-
Java API for XML Registries (JAXR)
Because this is an early access version, the tutorial is
not yet complete. The next version will include other
important J2EE technologies such as Enterprise JavaBeansTM (EJBTM)
and the Java Message Service (JMS).
To learn about these technologies, please see the
J2EE Tutorial (http://java.sun.com/j2ee/learning/tutorial/index.html)
that was written for the J2EE SDK (RI), not the Sun ONE
platform.
