JavaTM Web Start gives you the power to
launch full-featured applications with a single click from your Web browser.
If you are upgrading from the 1.0 release the installation for 1.0.1-ea will
overwrite the 1.0 release, and update the browsers to use the new 1.0.1-ea
release. To reactivate the 1.0 release, you will need to re-install it. For
more information, please refer to the Detailed Instructions in Step 2.
Please follow the three simple steps to download the software:

If a "File Download" dialog appears, select "Save this program to
disk". You'll be prompted for a filename, just accept the default
one by clicking on "Save".

Quit your browser, make sure the zip file
you've downloaded is located where you'd like
Java Web Start to be installed, usually your
home director. Unzip the file and then run the
install.sh shell script.

Restart your browser, you're now ready to launch JWS applications.
