The Java Adventure Builder Reference application is a sample application from the Java BluePrints Program at Sun Microsystems. The Java BluePrints program provides guidelines, patterns, and code for real-world application scenarios, enabling you to build robust, scalable, and portable solutions. Java Adventure Builder Reference application demonstrates how to design interoperable and portable Web services on the J2EE 1.4 platform. The Java Adventure Builder Reference application comes with full source code and documentation, which illustrate the typical design decisions and tradeoffs a developer makes when building an enterprise application. The application shows how to use Java API for XML-Based RPC ("JAX-RPC"), Java API for XML Processing ("JAXP"), Java Server Pages ("JSP"), Java Servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans ("EJB"), Java Standard Tag Libraries, Java Web Services, and Java Message Service ("JMS") technologies. With real, working code illustrating the BluePrints guidelines, the Java Adventure Builder Reference application reduces the learning curve of the J2EE 1.4 platform, enabling you to deliver complete end-to-end solutions with faster time-to-market. This version of the Java Adventure Builder Reference application is verified by the Java Application Verification Kit (AVK) for the Enterprise for portability across all J2EE-compatible application servers. Any use or implementation of the sample source code is subject to the license and copyright for the corresponding release.
