If you could attend only one JavaOne conference, this would be the one to pick. It's the 10th birthday celebration of Java technology, and all four days and nights will be unforgettable. You're already scheduled to attend? The Sun Microsystems 2005 JavaOne conference site has all the latest info, and this article has some shortcuts for you. If you can't attend in person, you can hit it on the web. Stay glued for constant content updates and event coverage, live from the show, and check out JavaOne Online for past educational content. Most of the attendees will pick up their badges on Monday, June 27, starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Moscone Center, San Francisco. The earlier you arrive, the shorter the line. First, you'll go right into the kickoff General Session at 8:30 a.m. Don't miss this one, with John Gage, Jonathan Schwartz, Graham Hamilton, Bill Shannon, and Mark Hapner. Come Early, Start Sunday

The top performers will be recognized daily through grand prizes that will be awarded at the conference and announced on the JavaOne conference web site. In the onsite Competition Arena, participants use the Java programming language to code, compile, test, and submit solutions to problem sets. Throughout the day, each competitor's submission is scored for accuracy and the time it took to complete the problem. At the conclusion of each day's qualification round, the four individuals with the highest scores are invited back to compete head-to-head in battle for the grand prizes. From May 2 to June 29, access our online Practice Arena. NetBeans Software Day
