Why Java Business Integration
Developers are adopting service oriented architecture approaches resulting in the need for composite applications. Now the challenges are how to integrate application components and orchestrate application services. JBI provides a standard to address these challenges.
The Java Business Integration Ecosystem is a partner program to promote the adoption of JBI. In addition to platform providers, component vendors and general supporters of JBI will be targeted for the program. The JBI Ecosystem will enable customers to find JBI solutions as well as enable the vendors to easily work with one another to create new combined solutions to address an even broader SOA market.
Java Business Integration (JBI) specification (JSR 208) defines the core of a service oriented integration bus and component architecture for SOA. It standardizes the common message routing architecture, plug-in interfaces for service engines and bindings, and a mechanism to combine multiple services into a single executable and auditable unit of work.
