Differences in template.mif between 1.2 Beta 1 and 1.2 Beta 2
The following changes to template.mif were made between
versions 1.2beta1 and 1.2beta2.
Many of these are small refinements that may not be important to you.
If you are using the built-in default template, you don't need to
worry about these changes -- they will take effect automatically.
However, if you are not using the built-in default template
(that is, your are using -importformats with a customized
template file that worked with version 1.2beta1), you should look
through this list and make the appropriate changes to your custom
template.
You can copy a new style from the latest template.mif
(located in the <destination>/mif directory) by applying
the style to a paragraph in the new template, copying that paragraph
to your old template, and then adding that style to the paragraph catalog.
Important Changes - These are the changes you should look closest
at for updating in custom templates:

- Changed all justified text to align left

except Level1IX and Level2IX, the index text styles where hyphenating is
important because the index entries are so long and columns so narrow.
- Added LinkBold style, as part of fixing bug
4524969,
to generate overview tree properly so that string can be displayed in
the running header as small caps. (With <ChapterString> all
caps, it's not possible to display the word "Chapter" as small caps
in the running header.)
Redefined ChapterNumber to be "uppercase" so that <ChapterString>
can be typed as lowercase with initial cap. Made ChapterNumber start at
the top of a right page running header.
