Interact and make an impact.
The Sun Java System Application Server team hosted a campaign to encourage developers to download and deploy SJSAS 8.2 and describe their experiences. To qualify for the prize, the developers had to install the product and test it before sending feedback. The campaign ran for a month, and all feedback was collected. The person with the best feedback, which was judged by a team of SJSAS developers, won a Sony PlayStation Portable. We also picked another 9 consolation prize winners who each received a Project GlassFish t-shirt. Here's what developers said about Sun Java System Application Server and the competition. Sony PlayStation Portable Winning Entry
Wow--all this time I had been battling with licensing costs and the huge cost of scaling up applications run on Windows-based systems--now I can provide a truly platform-independent solution tailored to a client's requirements. I only wish I had gotten into this years ago! 9 Consolation Prize Winners - Project GlassFish T-shirt
A deceptively easy-to-use tool when the web admin interface is used that conceals a wonderfully powerfully tool to deploy my applications on. It makes light work of hosting the system I am developing for browser-based access and also as a web service for a heavyweight J2SE client and a J2ME client for out-of-office use.
The Sun Java Application Server 8.2 has won us over with its performance and reliability. From installation to application deployment and management, SJSAS has brought a new meaning to J2EE simplicity. It has been a joy to work with its Administration Tool that intuitively helps to manage the server with ease. Sun Java Application Server 8.2 makes J2EE rock!!
It's a great development experience with the Sun Java System Application Server 8.2. Things were not this easy before. I have found it much easier and useful than any Microsoft server.
My experience using Sun Java Application Server has been really very good. The installation was smooth and easy, the admin console is very well done and allowed us to do all needed resource management and deployment for our enterprise application conveniently and without any hassles. The performance of the app server is exceptionally good as well and with a small memory footprint indeed. Integrates well with NetBeans IDE. Thanks to Sun for such an excellent product!
Fast, convenient, and well organized. The help guides and tutorials are great for beginner-level Java developers.
Easy development and deployment to server, and easy migration to production SJSAS stack. Creator works great with it. It's so much easier than dealing with JBoss or Geronimo. Great work!
For me SJSAS is a very welcome replacement for Apache Tomcat on a Red Hat Fedora system. It works great!
It simply rocks! First used JBoss and now switched to SJSAS, and it is so easy to use. No comparison to JBoss. Really good work, guys!
Good impression, good quality, easy to handle, and easy to install. Seems to be a good alternative to the Oracle Application Server. |
