Portlet Container 2.0 Beta Installation Instructions

  1. Install the Java Application Platform SDK Update 3 software.
  2. Select Portlet Container to install the Portlet Container 2.0 Beta software.
  3. Launch the following link to access the Portlet Container 2.0 Beta software:
    http://host_address:port/portletdriver/dt
  4. Deploy the portlets in the Admin Tab.
  5. View the deployed portlets in the Portlet Tab.

Configuration


The user name and password values used to log into the Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 software are the same values used to log into the Portlet Container 2.0 Beta software.

Troubleshooting


Description: You may encounter the message "Wait...portlet webapp is being deployed." in the Portlet Window when you click on the Portlets tab after deploying a portlet in the Admin tab.

Workaround: Wait for several seconds as the Application Server may still be deploying the portlet application, and then refresh the web browser.
