Administrator's Guide |
Read this chapter if you are a Java Device Test Suite administrator who is installing the Multitasking Quality Test Suite.
The Multitasking Quality Test Suite comes as a Java Archive (JAR) file, MT_QTS.jar. To install it, you must acquire the Multitasking Quality Test Suite distribution file.
To install the Multitasking Quality Test Suite, you must first install version 2.0 of the Java Device Test Suite. Your client and server hardware and software must meet the requirements specified in the Sun Java Device Test Suite Administration Guide.
Test devices used to test the Multitasking Quality Test Suite must meet the requirements specified in the same guide and must implement the Java Wireless Client Software.
To install the Multitasking Quality Test Suite, you must be familiar with how to install a test pack in the Java Device Test Suite.
|
1. If needed, unzip the Multitasking Quality Test Suite zip file.
Multitasking Quality Test Suite zip files use the following naming convention:
mt_qts-2_0-pr3-b15-3_may_2007.zip.
See the Release Notes for the exact name of the Zip file. Unzipping the file creates a JAR file named MT_QTS.jar.
2. Start the Relay on the Sun Java System Application Server.
For more information, see the Sun Java Device Test Suite Administration Guide.
3. Start the Sun Java Device Test Suite Administrator Harness by running run.bat or run.sh in the installDir/jdts2.0rr/admin directory. If you have not yet installed a test pack, you see an empty harness as shown in FIGURE 2-1.

4. Follow the instructions in the Java Device Test Suite Help on how to install a Test Pack, or follow the instructions provided here.
For instructions on creating and revising a test pack, see the Sun Java Device Test Suite Test Notes. When you install a test pack, the harness automatically adds it to the all built-in template.

Note - Installing a revised test pack that contains renamed tests updates the relevant templates and configurations with the new test names. |
6. In the Administrator Harness, create a new template based on the Multitasking Quality Test Suite.
