Blackdown.org has licensed JMF from Sun Microsystems, and delivers a version for the Linux Platform (Red Hat 6.2 on x86).

JMF 2.1.1 is the latest version available from the Blackdown.org web site. Blackdown periodically updates this after getting new source code from Sun. You can download this Linux version from

Note: Sun does not directly support the JMF Linux port; bug reports and queries should be directed to Blackdown.org. However, discussions are welcome on the mailto:jmf-interest@java.sun.com alias. You need to join the alias in order to post; please follow these directions to join.
