Java ME Content Handler API, JSR 211

Seamless Integration With Mobile Device Software
Java ME technology is the most ubiquitous application platform for mobile devices. Use CHAPI to integrate Java ME applications into device environments.

Overview

The Java ME Content Handler API (CHAPI) permits enhanced integration of Java ME applications into a device's application environment and manages the action to handle Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI) based on a MIME-type or scheme. CHAPI provides the capabilities for browsers and native applications as well as Java ME applications to invoke other Java ME applications which dynamically extend the media types and capabilities supported by the device's application environment.
