The Certification Process for JAIN product implemenations is designed to be a fair and open process that ensures compatibility between JAIN specification implementations. This Certification process detailed below helps to foster the portability of JAIN applications written to particular API specifications. Certification Process:
2. When the vendor's product has successfully passed the TCK
in full, the vendor must publish their TCK results on their website and
maintain the website page detailing the test results for as long as they
intend to claim 'Certified' status. The information on the vendor's website
must include:
3. In parallel vendors must notify the JAIN Program Manager (email: JAIN-PMO@sun.com) of their claim to certification. Once the JAIN Program Manager has verified that the vendor has suitably made their TCK results available on their website, vendor will be placed on the Certified products section of the JAIN website. Note: Vendors who have previously certified products through the former
JAIN Certification Program are not required to undertake the above process.
Existing certifications remain unaffected.
Certification Appeals Process:
Based on the findings, if the product in question is found not be be compliant with the associated API, then the product vendor will be removed from the Certified Products category on the JAIN website until they are able to confirm that they pass the TCK in full. The vendor will be notified to remove wording claiming JAIN certification from their website and any collateral. | |||
