Sun Microsystems, Inc. has made the public commitment to promoting seamless
integration of the Java 2 platform
and OMG/CORBA® as expressed in the
following OMG motion which Sun introduced at the Nov. 9-13th 1998
OMG Technical Meeting:
Sun moves that the
PTC
endorse the following process:
The OMG PTC will recommend to Sun selected APIs from
OMG
specifications that are suitable for inclusion in the JDK core.
When Sun adds OMG specifications to the JDK, Sun will select for inclusion
in the JDK core only from those specifications that have been recommended
by the OMG.
