Two releases contain commonly used versions of JFC software: Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition, (J2SE) v 1.4.0 JFC 1.1 with Swing 1.1.1 We strongly recommend that you use the most up-to-date version (1.4). However, if you are required to use JDK 1.1, you might be forced to use the JFC 1.1 release.
