J2ME Wireless Toolkit 1.0.3_01 Download

The J2ME Wireless Toolkit is a set of tools that provides developers with the emulation environment, documentation and examples needed to develop CLDC/MIDP compliant applications.

Required Software

• Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, Microsoft Windows NT or Microsoft Windows 2000.
• Java 2 Standard Edition, version 1.3.0 or higher:

  * If you need application development capabilities: Java 2 SDK Standard Edition, version 1.3.0 or higher (~30 Mbytes downloadable)

  * If you do not need application development capabilities: Java 2 Runtime Environment, version 1.3.0 or higher (~5 Mbytes downloadable)

Optional Software

• Sun ONE Studio 4, Mobile Edition (formerly known as Forte for Java 4, Mobile Edition
• Palm OS Emulator

Required Hardware

• 30 MB hard disk (140 Mbytes with Sun ONE Studio (formerly Forte for Java) )
• 64 MB system RAM (128 Mbytes with Sun ONE Studio)
• 166 MHz CPU (300 MHz with Sun ONE Studio)

Installing the J2ME Wireless Toolkit

For more detailed installation directions, please refer to the J2ME Wireless Toolkit User's Guide and Release Notes.

If you have a previous version of the J2ME Wireless Toolkit installed, you should un-install the older version before installing this release.

Run the installer program j2me_wireless_toolkit-1_0_3-ml-win.exe and follow the installation instructions.

If you install the J2ME Wireless module (Sun ONE StudioPlug-in), you should first make sure that Sun ONE Studio is installed and working and then install the Sun ONE Studio Plug-in. When installing the Sun ONE Studio Plug-in, you should select "Integrated" as the setup type.
