Java Security Feedback

You can send questions and feedback about the security components in the Java 2 Platform Standard Edition, including the JAAS, JCE, and JSSE packages, to the Java Security alias:

java-security@sun.com
To distinguish valid postings from spam, all email to this alias must include "JAVASEC" in the subject line. For example:
Subject: JAVASEC - Problems with using DES Cipher
All postings will be monitored and answered by J2SE security development team members. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee a response to each submission. This alias does not accept subscription requests; however, most postings become publicly available via the Java Security Feedback Archives. Due to resource constraints, only postings in English can be considered at this time.

Before sending email, please read the related documentation:

To see if your question has already been answered, you can search the following:

For an excellent introduction to Java 2 security, we recommend that you start with Li Gong's excellent book, "Inside Java 2 Platform Security: Architecture, API Design, and Implementation" from Addison-Wesley, ISBN: 0201310007. It covers many of the design decisions and architectural issues that would interest users of Java Security.

Submit feedback to java-security@sun.com.
