Java Web Services Developer Pack 2.0 Download

The Java Web Services Developer Pack (Java WSDP) is a free integrated toolkit that allows Java developers to build and test XML applications, Web services, and Web applications with the latest Web services technologies and standards implementations.

For fully supported, enterprise-class products incorporating Java Web Services technologies, we recommend Sun Java Studio Enterprise and Sun Java System Application Server.

The Java Web Services Developer Pack 2.0 includes the following:

  • Fast Infoset (FI) 1.0.1 FCS
  • XML and Web Services Security (XWSS) 2.0 EA2
  • XML Digital Signatures (XMLDSig) 1.0.1 FCS
  • Java API for XML Web Services (JAX-WS) 2.0 EA
  • Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) 2.0 EA
  • Java API for XML Web Services Addressing (JAX-WSA) 1.0 EA
  • Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) 1.3.1_01 FCS
  • Sun Java Streaming XML Parser 1.0 EA
  • Java API for XML Registries (JAXR) 1.0.8_01 EA
  • Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC) 1.1.3_01 EA
  • SOAP with Attachments API for Java (SAAJ) 1.3 EA

Java WSDP 2.0 has been tested on the following Web containers on J2SE SDK 5.0:

  • Sun Java System Application Server 8.1 Update 2
  • Project GlassFish (Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition 9.0 Beta (JAX-WSA only)
  • Tomcat 5.0 for Java WSDP

Java WSDP 2.0 has been tested on the following platforms:

  • SolarisTM 9 Operating System on SPARC and x86
  • SolarisTM 10 Operating System on SPARC and Opteron
  • Windows 2003 Server Professional Edition
  • Windows XP Professional Edition

The main developer community is the jwsdp community at Java.Net. Java.Net hosts a number of projects and communities related to the Java WSDP. Sites include the following:

There are Java Technology Forums for the following technologies: JSP and JSTL, Java Servlet Technology, JavaServer Faces Technology. There are also forums for Java Technology and XML and Java Technologies for Web Services, but the Java.Net mailing lists are prefered.
